High Schoolers Service at Friends for Life in October

Friends for Life is a wonderful Christ centered organization that helps seniors and people with disabilities live independently as long as possible.

Service opportunity:  Thursday Oct. 11th.

We will be meeting at Friends For Life, 5000 Lakewood, Waco  (off Lake Air)  at 1:00 P.M..

The volunteer coordinator will give us a tour of the facility and an overview of the organization’s mission.  We will follow this with assisting wheelchair bound, and disabled or frail clients with their weekly activity, ballroom dancing from 2:00-3:00.  I have heard that this is one of the most loved activities for volunteers and clients alike.

Parents may drop off or choose to stay.

Please RSVP anytime before the event to Karen Fisher kfisher@ziftar.net, or student service coordinator Sarah Troxel sarah818@gdwm.org

Hours served during this activity will be recorded in the high school group service hours database.
