Two Tours at Mother Neff State Park

Join us for some outdoor adventure at Mother Neff State Park. We will host two tours. One is a 1.5 mile hike at 10 am on the history of the park (1st state park), identifying flora and fauna, flood effects and ending at the cave of the Tonkawa natives. The other tour will take place at 1 pm and includes the CCC construction at the park, its history, and will include hands on activities for the kids. You may attend one or both. Each family can bring their own picnic for in between the tours and you may explore the park on your own as well.

When:
May 15, 2013

This trip is for the whole family. Strollers are welcome, though all-terrain ones are best (the trail has many roots crossing it and occasional rocks/steps). It is about a thirty-minute drive to the park from Waco. We will meet at the park. There is an optional Junior Ranger certificate families can participate in on their own if desired.

Cost: Free to us (because we are an educational tour group)
