Stanford Achievement Testing 2014

This spring, GWCHE will once again be offering 1st-12th grade standardized testing to families interested in testing their children. While this is not required by the state, it is an excellent opportunity to get an objective evaluation of your child’s educational progress, to give your child practice on standardized testing, and to have an “official” record for your homeschool.

In order to offer this service, we need testers and monitors!

At this point, I need 5-6 more testers (lead and assistant), as well as 5-6 volunteers to work as monitors in the testing rooms, at the outside doorway, or as a helper in the childcare room (keeping children who are not testing while their parents help administer tests).

To be a tester, you need to have a Bachelor’s degree and be approved by BJU Press, which involves filling out a simple application online, providing proof of your degree, and watching a 73 minute training DVD. Both lead and assistant testers need to be approved.

If you can serve as a monitor even for 1 day, that would be helpful. Testers must serve all 3 days.

Stanford Achievement Tests will be administered 9 am – 12 pm on May 5th, 6th, and 7th at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church in Waco (note change of location from last year). Testers and monitors will need to be there from 8:30-12:30 each day.

Please contact me by January 31st if you are able to help in any way! We cannot offer this service to GWCHE families without your help.

Thank you so much for considering.
