Childcare will not be provided due to the AC being replaced in the child care rooms.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Also, pictures for Student IDs will be taken for a cost of $5.00 each.

If you would like them mailed to you, please bring a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Used Curriculum Sale

The GWCHE Used Curriculum (and more) Sale is right around the corner! It will take place

Thursday, May 20
Highland Baptist Church (3014 Maple Ave. in Waco) in the Life Center
6:30-8:30 p.m.

E-mail curriculumsale@gwche.org to reserve a table by May 18. Members of GWCHE can reserve a half or full 8 ft table for free. Non-members pay $5 for ½ table and $10 for a whole table.

Fantastic door prizes from local retailers will be given away during the sale!

Valentine’s Day Party

Mom’s Christmas Dinner and Ornament Exchange

Our Moms’ special event will be a Christmas dinner and ornament exchange on Friday, December 18 at 6:30 PM. The event will be held at the Highland Baptist Church Annex.

Please RSVP by Friday, December 11. The main dish and vegetables will be provided by the committee.

This year we are asking for table sponsors. The committee will decorate the tables and our sponsors will bring their fine dinnerware for a service of 8.

We are looking for dinner and salad plates, cup, saucer, silverware, and glasses if possible. The dinnerware does not necessarily have to be Christmas. Drop off would be about 2 o’clock Friday December 18 or we could arrange for prior pick up.

We are also looking for a few teen volunteers to help with table service and clean up of dinnerware. The time frame would be approximately 5:45 PM to 9:00 PM.

Volunteers are still needed for the committee. If you are talented in asking for door prizes or just love to serve, please join us.

Look over the list and make sure you are on the list for the History Fair. This list will be kept updated. So check back to make sure your information is correct.

Send me a quick email to let me know your subjects by November 1, 2009.

All Junior and High School Students (5th – 12th graders) who would like their entries to be judged will be in a drawing for a 20.00 Casa Ole gift card. This is for the judged entries only.

In addition to the receiving the GWCHE Certificate and Ribbon and the gift certificates that each participant receives, those whose entries are judged also receive:

An opportunity to enter the Casa Ole drawing
1st, 2nd, 3rd place ribbons

Back to School Splash Bash

$2 donation per person, ages 3 and up

(2 and under are free)

Come to visit, have fun with old friends, and welcome new home schoolers at our Annual Splash Bash. All Members who have sent in membership dues for the coming year 2009-2010 are welcome but membership applications will be taken at the door.

Please remember that this is a GWCHE only event and that we should remember to dress modestly and be on our best behavior. The Aquatic Center requires only white or synthetic tee shirt over any swimsuits.

The Waco Aquatic Center will not allow floaties or any flotation devices unless it is a life jacket. You may bring your own drinks and snacks if you like.
