FYI Group
This is the optional general member list for posts about curriculum, community activities, pets for sale, etc. Please, no forwards of web anecdotes. It is moderated, but open for all members to post.
The GWCHE FYI Email Group is a place for sharing helpful ideas, asking questions, and passing on information about events in Waco. (the GWCHE Chat Group is the place for discussions).
Post a message by sending your email to fyi@gwche.org. Approved messages are then posted to the group.
1. Reply privately to a post if it doesn’t concern everyone on the loop. For example – book (rabbits, dogs, etc.) sales – if you want to buy, email privately; not on the loop.
2. If you like to forward things, please send them to people individually who you know will enjoy them; not to the loop.
3. Change the subject line if you want to talk about something else. This helps us know what your email is about.
4. Although this list is not generally for prayer requests, those of a pressing nature from members and their immediate families are welcome on the loop.
5. Among the members of this loop there are surely various theological differences. Let’s not discuss these on the loop.
6. Please feel free to notify our members via this loop of any educationally related services you may have to offer, i.e. tutoring, music lessons, private or co-op style classes.
7. If you have a personal business and would like to offer discounts to our membership, you may post once a quarter. Please do not abuse this guideline, or use the loop for advertising.
8. Please post any other opportunities you are aware of in the community that will benefit our membership.
9. Questions about what to do with your kids, books for sale, give-aways, concerts, directions, book fairs, information on good deals in town, etc. are always welcome on the loop.
10. In every post, please clarify your contact information and/or the sponsoring group information for those who may have questions.
11. The FYI loop is a privilege for our membership. If you would like to include a message at the request from non-members, it should benefit the membership and it should be limited to 3 posts a year for that non-member.

GWCHE Chat Group
GWCHE has a chat group for members. It is a place for us to discuss kids, home schooling, and life in general.

If you have a question about the appropriateness of a post, please ask a board member or the moderator.

High School Group
If you have a student in the 7th-12th grade, you can sign up for the High School email group. Here you can ask questions and share information. There will also be a Topic of the Month – an issue of common interest to focus discussion

This is the main announcement-only group for GWCHE. If you need to post info about a GWCHE-sponsored activity, please forward it to the appropriate board member to be put on the GWCHE Group. See the GWCHE organization chart for board responsibilities.
